Hello, my name is
Angelina Rey.
I am a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist, Level 3 Trained in the Gottman Method, and specialize in couples and relationships. I offer flexible appointments both in-person located in Roseville, California, and virtual tele-therapy for California residents. I specialize in relationship therapy, working with couples, families, co-parents, and individuals, and I am committed to improving your mental health, emotional well-being, and relationship(s) with yourself & others.
My Approach
I am a client centered and collaborative therapist where I act as a guide to help support you toward your identified goals, not acting as the expert of your life. My style is strongly psycho-educational, which means I teach my clients and equip them with tools to help themselves in navigating through difficult conversations, managing their emotions during conflict, and problem solve independently.
I am also action oriented, solution focused, and can be very direct as I work with you to identify unhealthy relational and thought patterns, so that you can adjust and make changes as you see fit to better your relationships and individual well-being.
I also offer empathy, understanding, and a non-judgmental approach by sharing personal experiences to relate to you however I can and wherever it feels most appropriate and supportive. Lastly, I use a psychodynamic and narrative approach where I will explore your past and make connections to how the past is impacting you and your relationships currently and help you re-write your story for the future you want and deserve and the kind of relationships you envision.
“Look at yourself through the lens of compassion & understanding, only then growth is possible.”
