If you are experiencing a mental health crisis or emergency please take immediate action
For emergencies call 911 or visit your nearest hospital.
Are you accepting new clients?
Yes, while I always have a relatively full client load, there is consistently a good ebb and flow of clients starting services and clients fading out from services as they feel more confident and happier in their relationships and individual lives.
Are sessions in person or via telehealth?
Both in person located in Roseville, California conveniently located off of Highway 80 in the Greater Sacramento Area as well as via Telehealth to California residents.
What are the benefits to meeting via telehealth?
Meeting for therapy via telehealth makes it much more convenient and comfortable. Telehealth enables us to meet wherever you feel most comfortable. Telehealth provides more flexibility and convenience such as allowing your partner or family members to be in different locations while meeting. If you are in California, in a safe place, and able to meet confidentially, you can have your session anywhere! Tele-therapy is also just as effective as in-person therapy, as reflected in this 2022 study, A comparison of online and in-person counseling outcomes using solution-focused brief therapy for college students with anxiety.
Do you accept insurance? Or offer Sliding Scale?
To put you and I completely in charge of your therapy experience, I do not work with any insurance companies. I can, however, provide a Superbill for possible reimbursement for out-of-network providers.
Please call your members’ services department and ask about your Out-Of-Network Benefits and whether they can reimburse you directly for your expenses.
I do not offer a sliding scale at this time.
What is your Cancellation Policy?
I request clients to cancel or reschedule at least 48 hours prior to the start time of the scheduled session. If a session is cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice or you “no show”, the session will be charged the full amount of that session.
How long does therapy take?
How long therapy takes is dependent on many factors, such as your goals, how frequently and consistently we meet, how motivated you are for change, if you incorporate new insights and practice learned tools, and depends on what might occur during therapy. Some clients only attend 8-10 sessions while others continue the process for one year or more as they continue to pursue goals and practice new skills. As a client-centered and collaborative therapist, I leave it up to the client to decide when they feel they have met their goals and determine readiness for termination in which we will discuss and plan for termination or graduating therapy together
