Family Therapy
Are you tired of not getting along with your family members?
Is your blended family not blending as nicely as you’d hoped for?
Would you like to have a better understanding and relationship with your aging parent, sibling, child or teenager or other family members?
Is your family going through a divorce or experienced a traumatic event that you would like to navigate and heal through together? Family Therapy is a special form of treatment where I focus on repairing and strengthening the entire family (or family pair) as a system, rather than focusing on a specific individual of the family.
Family pairs are pairings within the family who are experiencing rupture and need repair rather than the whole entire family such as siblings, child and parent, adult child and parent, stepchild and stepparent, etc. In family therapy, I use solution focused, CBT, strategic, family systems, and direct approaches to solve current problems and to repair trauma, wounds, misunderstandings, and other disruptions in the family system.
I work with the family or family pair as a system to improve communication, regulate emotions, change behaviors, increase understanding, and rebuild trust. Together you will learn communication skills, problem solving skills, and conflict de-escalation techniques. The goal of family therapy is to create better functioning relationships between family members by helping them find more effective ways to work through challenges and to increase harmony in your home and family.
Let’s walk this journey together toward improving your mental health, relationships, and well-being to create the love & life you envision
